Concentration in Pharmaceutical Sciences

The BS concentration in Pharmaceutical Sciences is a joint program with Thomas Jefferson University College of Health Professions (TJU) toward the awarding of an undergraduate B.S. degree and graduate degree in Pharmacy (PharmD degree).  There are UD and TJU components to this program.  The component of the program supported by UD will consist of the first three years of the B.A. degree in Biological Sciences, where students complete prerequisites for admission into the graduate program.   Students who apply for and then are admitted to the TJU Pharmacy program by a joint UD/TJU admissions committee at the end of their 5th semester at UD are also admitted to the B.S. degree with a concentration in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Students spend the remaining four years at Jefferson College of Health Professions, where they complete their remaining undergraduate credits for the UD B.S. degree.  The Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Thomas Jefferson University will be awarded after successful completion of the fourth year at Jefferson College of Health Professions.
