The proposal supports goals # 5, 6, and 10 by expanding
the options available to History majors taking basic introductory courses.  It allows History majors to choose to take History
101 (“Western Civilization to 1648”) OR History 103 (“World History I”) AND
History 102 (“Western Civilization, 1648-“) OR History 104 (“World History
II”).  Majors who choose to take World
History will expand their knowledge and understanding of the histories of areas
outside of
