III.       Old Business: Responses to the Committee’s announcement of November 15 deadline for resubmission of courses currently satisfying the Multiculture Studies requirement.

 

IV.       New Business:

           

A.  Revision of existing major:  BS in General Agriculture – Proposal to change name of major from General Agriculture to Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources, to change the total credits required for the degree from 130 to 124, and to make changes in the academic requirements.  (Attachment) .

 

B.   Department of Biological Sciences:

 

1.                              Revision of existing major:  Biological Sciences – Honors Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a Concentration in Ecology and Organismic Biology (Attachment).

 

2.                              Revision of existing major:  Biological Sciences – Honors Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences  with a Concentration in Cell and Molecular Biology and Genetics (Attachment).

 

C.     Department of Art: Proposal to change department’s name to Department of Fine Arts and Visual Communications.   (Attachment).

 

D.     Taskforce on Interactive Media:

 

1.                  Proposal to add a new concentration in Visual Design to the major in Visual Communications in the Department of Art  (Attachment) .

 

2.                  Proposal to add a new Interdisciplinary Minor to Interactive Media  (Attachment).

 

E.      Elementary Teacher Education:  Request for permanent approval of the Milford Professional Development School (Attachment).

 

F.      Request to consider inconsistency between required grades for writing courses (C-) and for mathematics and foreign language courses (D-)  (Attachment).
