UNIVERSITY SENATE
COORDINATING COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION
Minutes
I. Old Business: Dr. Michael Chajes, Interim Dean, and Dr. Dan
Wiele attended
the meeting concerning the breadth requirements for the Electrical Engineering
proposals submitted and reviewed at the December 17th CCE
meeting. Dean Chajes
expressed his concerns with ABET accreditation, and what they expect from Engg. After much
discussion it was decided that they would revise their proposal as John Madsen suggested
in his email to Dr. Weile. They will have to follow the Breadth Requirements
that have been set by the CCE and UGS Committees through Arts and Sciences. The
committee will write up a university wide set of Breadth Requirements for
Senate approval and for the catalog.
This will be for all colleges to follow.
