I. The meeting was convened by Senate President Jay Hildebrandt.

II. The agenda was approved unanimously.

III. The meeting minutes of May 6, 2002 were approved unanimously.

IV. Acting Provost Dan Rich welcomed the Faculty Senate and made brief remarks regarding the state of the University. He will give a lengthier presentation at the October meeting to describe the current student body at UD.

V. Executive Vice President David Hollowell described the construction and renovation projects presently underway on campus.

VI. Announcements and introductions were made by Jay Hildebrandt. He reviewed the duties and responsibilities of the faculty senate.

VII. No consent agenda.

VIII. No old business.

IX. No new business.

X. The meeting was adjourned at 4:38 PM.
