None
Other affected units: Permission to require our students to take Chem 103/104 was obtained from the Dept. of Chemistry (John
Burmeister
Rationale:
Majors in BS degree of Food Science and Technology with
a concentration in Food Science required are required to take Chem 321 (organic chem.) which has a prerequisite of Chem 104. In the
past many of our students took the Chem 101/102
series as an option to the Chem 103/104 series (as
currently stated). With the new change to UDSIS, prerequisites will be enforced
by the computer, thus our students need to take the Chem
103/104 series so that they can later register for Chem
321. We will now require students to
take Chem 103/104 and no longer give them the option
of Chem 101/102.
Remove FOSC 306 as a required course from the Minor in
Food Science because this class is no longer available.
