The mission of the UD/Milford PDS is to foster a collaborative community of learners through professionals committed to the study and improvement of education. The UD/Milford PDS promotes advanced pedagogical theories and practice for student interns and faculty from the School of Education and the Milford School District. We believe that all members of the partnership are learners and that all activities of this partnership should be designed to improve their knowledge and skills while enhancing student learning.
In recent reflections with current interns, program
graduates, mentor teachers, and administrators, it was determined that there
was a great need for more instruction related to ELL. There is a large
population of ELL students in southern Delaware where our students complete
their internships and plan to accept their first teaching position. By adding
