Supplemental Explanation for School Name Change

The name of the School is being changed to reflect the scope of the School's activities and instructional programs. The School was previously a graduate school offering an MA and an MPA degree and one PhD degree.  The activities of those programs, including a 30-year history of Study Abroad and exchange programs, have long had a national and international reach. The School added an undergraduate major in Leadership a few years ago and now offers an undergraduate degree in Public Policy. It also offers an MA in Historic Preservation, as well as MS and PhD degrees in Disaster Science and Management The new name reflects the actual range of the school's research, instructional offerings and other activities
