The College of Engineering requires 21 “breadth” credits distributed as follows:

• Completion of 12 3 credits, 3 in each of the following 4 University Breadth Requirement categories, with no more than one course taken from any single[CS1] rubric (i.e., the four-letter subject code):
• Creative Arts and Humanities
• History and Cultural Change
• Social and Behavioral Sciences
• Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology (normally satisfied by one of the following courses that Engineering students take: CHEM 103, CHEM 104, CHEM 111, CHEM 112, CISC 106, MATH 241, MATH 242, MATH 243, MEEG 112, PHYS 207, PHYS 208)

• Completion of 9 additional additional credits mustbe taken from the University Breadth Requirement categories course listin the Creative Arts and Humanities, History and Cultural Change, or Social and Behavioral Sciencescategories and/or from the College of Engineering Supplemental Course List.
• Three of Of the 21 credits may be used to satisfy ,for timely progress toward degree completion, 3 credits must satisfy the University Multicultural Requirement.(recommended for timely progress toward completion).
• Six of the Of the9 21 credits beyond the University Breadth Requirements, 6 must be at the upper level (usually a 300-level or above course) restricted to courses in the Creative Arts and Humanities, History and Cultural Change, and/or Social and Behavioral Sciences categories from the University Breadth Requirement course list and/or courses designated as upper level on the College of Engineering Supplemental Course List.
• All courses must be passed with a minimum grade of C-.
