Resolution introduced at the February 2012 University Faculty Senate Meeting by: Dr. John Morgan
WHEREAS
the construction of the Academic Calendar of the University
should be a fundamental responsibility of its faculty, since
they have extensive experience with teaching courses in the
regular semesters and the winter and summer sessions,
BE IT R
that there be established a standing Academic Calendar
Committee of the University Faculty Senate charged with
advising the administration about the construction of drafts
of the Academic Calendar in future years, as well as other
issues involving the scheduling of classes in the regular
semesters and the winter and summer sessions,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED
that normally a draft of the Academic Calendar shall be
submitted to the University Faculty Senate for its approval
at least one year in advance.
